Artist Statement:
I took this picture about a year ago. A butterfly landed on my shoulder and my friend and I thought it would be a great idea to take pictures with it. We tried to direct it towards our noses and it even posed for us. I was inspired to use blue butterflies in this project because the butterfly itself had blue and it would make my eyes pop more. The dark blue makes me think of night, so I also included the moon and galaxy. This ties in all of the colors and themes. I also wanted to add a cloud with a butterfly on it to continue the theme of night and dark blue butterflies. This was a very fun project and I really enjoyed it!
Your layers combined so well. You did a great job of making each element separate yet cohesive with one another. I wouldn;t be suprised if I saw this while scrollign through instagram. Great job
ReplyDeleteNot going to lie, I thought you put the butterfly on your nose as a part of the project. I think it's amazing though that a real one was already on your nose. That made the project even better than it already is. You also did a great job with the coloring. The colors go so well together.
ReplyDeleteThis project turned out amazing! All of the effects and extra images you added into it make it look really professional.
ReplyDeleteMadison this is beautiful. I really like vibe of the picture as a whole and the butterflies with the galaxy combined just makes it extremely unique. It gives me a Neverending Story type of feel. That's an older movie that is a fantasy genre and it looks like your photo could fit right in.
ReplyDeleteI love this project. It looks so peaceful and elegant. I love the icy and sparkly aesthetic and the butterflies. The background looks really neat and the butterfly on your nose makes it 10x better.
